Dr. Prabhat Kumar Choudhary is presently working as an Assistant Librarian in stage 4 at Central Library of Netaji Subhas University of Technology, New Delhi. He has working experience of more than twenty-five years in Library profession at NSUT, formerly NSIT and IIT Delhi. At NSIT in his initial years he automated few library services using NETTLIB, Library Management Software, and in second decade of 21st Century with the beginning of application of cloud technology in library services, he has implemented it through E-Granthalaya for Library service at NSIT, which was inaugurated by the then Director, NSIT and present Vice Chancellor, University of Delhi.

He has completed Ph.D. in Library and Information Science from Mewar University, Chittorgarh; ‘Associateship in Information Science’ from INSDOC, CSIR New Delhi; ‘Post Graduate Course in Computer Application’ from CMC Limited New Delhi; ‘M. Sc. (Physics)’ from Department of Physics, LNMU Darbhanga; ‘B.Sc. (Physics Hons)’ from C M Science College, LNMU Darbhanga.  He is Life member of ‘Indian Library Association’, and ‘Delhi Library Association’. He has been elected as EC member of DLA for the years 2022-25. He is continuously contributing to the profession in many ways e.g. in further development of different modules of e-Granthalaya LMS, reviewing research articles for “DESIDOC Journal of Library and Information Technology” etc
