Dr. Kumar Sanjay is a practicing Librarian, administrator, researcher, and teacher. Presently working as Director (Library), NITI Aayog. Previously held many responsible positions, viz., Chief Librarian-Cum-Documentation Officer in the Library and Documentation Centre of NITI Aayog, New Delhi and Library and Information Officer in UPSC, New Delhi. He has done M.Sc. (Physics), MCA and PhD in LISc. He has over 25 years of experience in various Institutions and Government organisations. He was/is a Member of Committees constituted by different Government Institutions for the categorisation of their Libraries and for the recruitment of library staff. He has organised several programs/ activities in his libraries and has also organised conferences, seminars, and workshops. Edited CGLA Newsletter and various Conference volumes. Published many articles in various national and international Journals. Dr Kumar served for ten years as a member of the Governing Board in DELNET. He is a Life Member of ILA, IASLIC, DLA, CGLA, etc. He is also a member of the Course Coordinator Committee, which is constituted by the CBSE for the design of the Library and Information Science curriculum for classes XI and XII in vocational courses. Currently, he serves as the president of the CGLA Delhi. Dr Kumar has worked/working on various projects. Got the Distinguished Faculty Award from DLA in 2016, Best Library Professional Award from CGLA in 2019 and Innovative Librarian Award from Golden AIM Conference & Awards for Excellence & Leadership in Education & E-Learning in 2020
