Dr. Ashok Kumar is Assistant Professor of Library and Information Science in the Indira Gandhi  National Open University (IGNOU). He holds B.Sc., BLISc, MLISc., PGDCA, PGDDLDM,  Ph.D. (LIS). He has also successfully completed various online courses like Academic Writing,  Research Ethics, OER for Empowering Teachers, Emerging Trends and Technologies in Library  and Information Services Curriculum, Curriculum Design, and e - Content Development. He  has about 18 years of experience in various capacities in the institutions of Higher Education.  His areas of interest include Management of Library and Information Centers, ICT Application in Libraries,  e- Learning, Quality, and Ranking of Institutions.
