Professor KP Singh is an accomplished educationist, academician, teacher activist, researcher, academic administrator, institution builder, and outstanding orator. Currently Dr. Singh wroking as Professor & Head at Department of Library and Information Science, Director of Gandhi Bhawan, Provost, PG Men's Hostel, Chairman, Managing Committee, North-Eastern Hostel for Women, University of Delhi. A prolific writer and researcher, Professor. Singh has authored 20 books, edited 20 volumes, published 195 research papers inculding conference, and successfully supervised 17 Ph.D. theses and 35 M. Phil dissertations. His affiliation with the National Democratic Teacher's Front (NDTF), a teachers body affilated to RSS as EC Member and Secretary (Media) demonstrate his dedication to empowering collective growth and strengthening Sanghthan.

As a distinguished alumnus of the University of Delhi, holding a gold medalist Master's degree in Agriculture from Meerut University. Recipient of prestigious national fellowships, including ICAR-JRF (Agri.); UGC-JRF/NET (LIS); and DRDO-JRF (LIS). Academic credentials include B.Sc. (Agri) Hons, M.Sc. (Agri), MLIS, M.Phil., PGDCA, and Ph.D. (LIS). Dr. Singh is notable for being the first faculty member in the Department to secure and successfully complete three Major Research Projects funded by DRDO and UGC as Principal Investigator. Furthermore, Dr. Singh holds the distinction of being the first LIS teacher in the Department to be consecutively elected as Academic Council Member (2015-2019) for the University of Delhi's highest statutory academic body.
